Browns Rural Supplies Real Estate officially opened its doors on January 2nd 2007. The business boasts a team with over twenty years of real estate and marketing experience between Ross Burnham and Tony Ebeyer. For all Rural and Residential Real Estate as well as Auctions/Clearing Sales and trading of water in areas including Deniliquin, Blighty, Mathoura, Wanganella, Conargo, Tocumwal, Wakool, Moulamein and beyond the staff at Browns Rural Supplies Real Estate are here to help you.
The business is built on old fashion values that put you the client first. Systems and procedures are put in place to further enhance the pleasurable experience that our clients say they receive time after time from Browns Rural Supplies.
And now a little bit of history…..
Browns Rural Supplies was started by Mr Eli Brown after the First World War in February 1920 in a little building on Davidson Street. He didn’t move to the present site until December 1920. Eli mainly clipped horses, while buying sheep skins, wool, tallo and rabbit skins.
General merchandise trading started during the Second World War with Elli’s son Norman joining his father in 1947 and in 1952 another son Kevin joined the business.
In 1961 Eli Brown passed away. Norman left the business in 1987 after 40 years of service, leaving Kevin to carry on with his son Lindsay who had been working in the store since 1982. In 1989 Browns Rural Supplies was purchased by wool trading firm Watt’s wool. Three years later would see the business back in Brown Family hands with Lindsay repurchasing.
Current owners Ross Burnham and Ross Campion purchased the business in June 2004 from Lindsay and Robyn Brown. Since the purchase the business has gone from strength to strength. Ross Campion is the agronomist, who has a large client base specialising in rice, cereals, lucerne, summer crops and hay making while Ross Burnham is the licensee of Browns Rural Supplies Real Estate.
There are a further four staff who maintain the general merchandise in the store and Tony Ebeyer is responsible for real estate sales and marketing.
